Description: A Latvian variety with good winter hardiness. It is a mid-season variety. Begins to bear fruit in the 3rd or 4th year. Blooms quite early (in May). The fruits are round, large, light yellow with a distinct red blush. The flesh is juicy, very sweet. Prefers sunny locations and well-moistened soils. To obtain quality fruits, it is necessary to thin the crown. Fruits ripen at the end of July, beginning of August. "Mayra" is considered a winter-hardy variety. Grows to about 2.5 - 3 meters. Drought-resistant, but yields are improved with periodic watering. Fruits weigh 100-150 g. Disease-resistant. The variety is self-fertile.
