A hybrid magnolia. A tree reaching 3–4 meters in height, initially columnar in shape, later becoming narrowly oval. In youth, it grows quickly — by 10 years old, it can reach 4 m tall and 2 m wide. Flowers are large, 15–20 cm in diameter, tulip-shaped, light lemon-yellow with a soft pink tint at the base, and fragrant. Blooms in May, before leaf emergence. Leaves are dark green. Prefers slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained soil that remains evenly moist throughout the year. Plant in a sunny location. It is recommended to mulch the root zone and avoid planting other plants around the base. Hardiness zone 5 (down to –23°C).
