Information:

A fairly well-known and widely cultivated variety featuring a rounded, vase-shaped shrub with very stiff, strong, moderately thick shoots of a dark cherry color, reaching a height of 1.5–1.8 m and a width of 1.5–1.7 m. The leaves are bright green, very even and neat, elongated-ovate with a pointed tip and serrated edges. Leaf stalks are red, creating a striking contrast. The flowers are white, turning an intense dark pink at full bloom. The lower flowers measure 4–5 cm in diameter, while those in the center are 2–3 cm. The plant bears both sterile and fertile flowers; on the fertile umbels, there are 1–2 sterile flowers with short pedicels. At full bloom, it gives the illusion of a dense panicle. The inflorescence is cone-shaped with a broad base, 25–30 cm long. The flowers do not all open simultaneously, thus the coloration ranges from white to pink and eventually becomes wine-red by autumn. It blooms profusely from August to October and retains its ornamental appeal even in late autumn.
