A new Polish selection of Actinidia arguta, the Domino variety. A high-yielding selection with large fruits of excellent taste quality. The plant is a vigorous vine, growing up to 4–5 metres in height, and begins fruiting in the second or third year after planting. Up to 18 kg of tasty and nutritious berries can be harvested from a mature plant. Harvest maturity occurs in the first ten days of September.
The fruits are large, with an average weight of 18–20 grams. The skin is tender, green in colour with a pink blush. The flesh is firm, light green, with high flavour quality, combining pineapple and kiwi aftertastes. Disease resistance is high. Frost hardiness reaches –30 °C. Strong supports are required for cultivation.
Planting actinidia is recommended in sunny locations or partial shade. It grows actively in light, well-drained, moist soils and in areas protected from wind.
