Description: Ben Tirran is a late-ripening variety of black currant of Scottish breeding. The "Ben Tirran" variety bears fruit in late July - early August. It flowers late, which protects the blossoms from spring frosts. The bush is compact, with vertically oriented shoots. The shoots are of medium length, numerous and strong. Black currant "Ben Tirran" is a high-yielding variety. The berries are dark colored, weighing 2.5-3.5 grams, and are very rich in vitamin C. All the berries in the cluster ripen fully and do not fall off during harvesting. Black currant "Ben Tirran" is highly frost-resistant and disease-resistant.
