Vaccinium corymbosum BLUEGOLD

A high-yielding mid-early variety, bred in the USA in 1989. The bush is dense, reaching a height and diameter of 1.2–1.5 m, with a large number of upright shoots. Requires regular thinning. The leaves are oval, dark green, turning reddish-purple in autumn. It blooms in May with clusters of small white bell-shaped flowers. The fruiting period lasts from mid-July to mid-August. The berries are light blue, up to 1 cm in diameter, round, slightly flattened, with a small indentation at the end, covered with a strong waxy coating, sweet, and aromatic. Once ripe, they drop but do not crack, store well, and are highly transportable.
