Perennial flowering plants that offer long and abundant blooming throughout the summer. Best cultivated in permeable, moist soils that are not waterlogged, these plants thrive in a sunny, windless location. Plant rhizomes in March or April using either a peat substrate or light compost. Wait until the danger of frost has passed before relocating outdoors, planting them 10–15 cm deep.
NO OVERWINTERING IN THE SOIL. In the second half of September, dig up the Indian shots. Ensure rhizomes are dried and stored during the winter at a temperature of 4 to 6 °C.
