An elegant, highly ornamental grass distinguished by narrow green leaves with a fine white margin that creates a silvery appearance. The plant forms a dense, rounded clump 120–160 cm tall and does not fall apart. In late summer (September), copper-colored panicles appear, later turning silvery white and remaining decorative through winter. It is light-loving, drought-tolerant, and prefers fertile, moderately moist soils.
