Clematis ‘Carmencita’ (Carmencita) is an undemanding, abundantly flowering Viticella group variety with velvety carmine-red flowers 5–7 cm in size, generously covering the vine from June to September. It belongs to pruning group 3, is frost-hardy, and grows well in partial shade on almost any soil. The variety is hardy and suitable for beginner gardeners, as well as for container growing and creating living hedges. The roots are best kept shaded using mulch or low companion plants.
