Clematis ‘Cecile’ (Cecile) is a hardy, frost-resistant cultivar from the Atragene group, valued for its abundant early flowering with violet-blue, semi-double, bell-shaped flowers appearing on last year’s shoots, as well as for its decorative fluffy seed heads after flowering. It belongs to pruning group 1 and does not require pruning. The plant reaches 2–3 metres in height, prefers light partial shade, and is suitable for greening arches, fences, and walls, and can also be grown as a groundcover plant.
