GLADIOLUS (Gladiolus L.)
Perennial bulb flowers ideal for vibrant flower gardens. Inflorescences are best picked when 2 flowers unfold and 3-4 buds exhibit color for optimal display.
Thrives in open, sunny locations sheltered from the wind, with medium-light or loamy soil. During dry spells, it is essential to water them generously: use 3-4 buckets per 1 sq. m.
To ensure healthy growth, practice a crop rotation every 4-5 years. Bulbs need soaking in a potassium permanganate or 0.2% fungicide solution for 30 minutes before planting.
Not suitable for overwintering in the ground, the bulbs should be dug up in the second half of September. Post-harvest, dry the tubers properly and store them at a temperature of 4-6 ˚C during winter.
Shipping restrictions: Potato, onion, garlic, and flower bulbs cannot be shipped when temperatures fall below 0°C to ensure quality.
