Perennial bulbous flowers. Perfect for flower gardens, with racemes that are picked when 2 blossoms are open and 3-4 flower buds show color. Thrives in open, sunny, wind-protected locations with medium-light or loamy soil.
Height: Ideal for growing in sunny, exposed spots. Watering: Requires significant watering during drought conditions, using 3-4 buckets per square meter.
For optimal growth, replant in the same location every 4-5 years. Pre-planting requires soaking bulbs for half an hour in a potassium permanganate solution or 0.2% fungicide.
Important: Do not leave in the soil during winter. Dig up in the second half of September and store dried bulbs at 4-6 °C throughout winter.
