Inflorescences should be picked when 2 flowers unfold and 3-4 flower buds show color. These flowers thrive best in open, sunny locations protected from winds, and prefer medium-light or loamy soil. Regular watering is essential during drought conditions, with an optimal guideline of 3-4 buckets of water per 1 sq. meter. Implement a crop rotation of 4-5 years to maintain soil health. Prior to planting, bulbs should be soaked for half an hour. Not able to overwinter in the ground, these should be dug up by the second half of September.
