Growing Height (cm): 1,5–2
This is a panicle hydrangea variety (Hydrangea paniculata), known for its very early and long-lasting flowering from June/July until autumn, large conical inflorescences that change colour from white or creamy to bright pink and wine-red, as well as strong stems and decorative autumn foliage, making it a versatile choice for landscape design.
Main characteristics:
Flowering: starts very early (June/July) and lasts until September; inflorescences are large and conical.
Inflorescence colour: greenish-white at first, then turning pink, and becoming deep red by autumn, creating a “chameleon” effect.
Shrub: medium-sized, 1.5–2 m tall, with a dense, broadly rounded crown; stems are strong and do not droop.
Foliage: bright green, slightly rough, turning coppery and burgundy in autumn, sometimes with a golden edge.
Growing conditions: prefers sun or partial shade, fertile, moist, slightly acidic to neutral soils; does not tolerate drought well.
Hardiness: high (zones 4–6); young plants require winter protection.
Use: specimen planting, hedges, group and mixed plantings, containers (in temperate climates).
Variety features:
Considered one of the earliest-flowering panicle hydrangea varieties.
Inflorescences are airy, composed of sterile and fertile flowers.
