Hydrangea Bonfire (Bloody Marie) is a stunning ornamental shrub that becomes completely covered in large cone-shaped inflorescences, changing shades multiple times throughout the season. In summer, the leaves are green, while in autumn, they develop a brownish-red hue. Bonfire hydrangea reaches a height of 120 cm, with a bush width of 70–80 cm. It features large flowers and an intense red coloration. The inflorescences are enormous – up to 45–55 cm. This variety has one of the richest red shades among hydrangeas. Each individual flower measures 5–6 cm in diameter, and the inflorescence is very dense, consisting only of sterile flowers. The flowers have four sepals and a light honey scent.
