Description: Hydrangea aspera Rosemary Foster is an outstanding and very hardy variety, selected for its compact growth and even flowering even on very young plants. Stunning flowers appear in large inverted corymbs of rich pinkish-blue colour with white ray flowers from June to September and remain the same colour in any soil. The large leaves have an impressive architectural appearance: they turn chocolate brown, later dark grey-green with felted stems, and in autumn take on amber and golden tones. It is an excellent accent plant for borders or large containers.
