Garden strawberry ‘Darselect’, an early-ripening French variety developed in 1998, has already gained the love of many local farmers who appreciate the excellent flavor of its berries, weighing 30–40 g, as well as the convenience of harvesting them on an industrial scale. The plant has a sturdy, long peduncle that facilitates harvesting (up to 25 kg can be picked per hour). The berries of the ‘Darselect’ variety are heart-shaped, bright brick-red with a reddish hue, and taste like sweet wild strawberries. With traditional care, the variety yields up to 1 kg of berries per bush, and with intensive agricultural techniques, the yield can reach up to 2 kg. ‘Darselect’ is a promising strawberry variety that will already delight you in the first year after planting with an abundant harvest of smooth, juicy berries.
