A dense shrub with a thick, hemispherical crown, up to 2 meters in height and width. Decorative in every aspect – foliage, flowers, and fruit. Each element can be seen as a distinct ornament of the plant. The crinkled leaves display a rich red-purple color, emerging copper-orange in spring and deepening to a noble purple by autumn. The leaves are smaller and more delicate compared to the Diabolo variety. The crown is formed by long arching shoots that gracefully bend toward the ground. The reddish-brown bark of the branches blends almost seamlessly with the foliage, giving the shrub a unified color appearance. It blooms slightly later than other varieties – around mid-June. Small white-pink flowers are grouped into flat-topped clusters up to 5 cm in diameter. By autumn, typical bladder-like fruits appear, in the form of inflated pinkish-red seed pods.
