CARROT CIDERA
A late variety that grows large and delicious orange roots. Perfect for juicing, canning, fresh consumption, and storing over winter.
Roots are 21–23 cm long with a blunt end. They have a small, round core and vibrant orange flesh. These roots are resistant to cracks.
Grows best in well-cultivated, hummus-rich, light loam or sandy soil. Carrots should be sown in the same location only after 4-5 years.
Seed tape advantages: Leads to larger, better quality harvests. With enough moisture, seeds will germinate quickly and evenly. Before placing the tape, water the soil. Cover the tape with soil and water abundantly.
A 4 m long tape can produce about 350 high-quality root crops or a harvest of 30–40 kg.
